Difference in top and under side

The PREMARK® material is characterised by a special surface, giving increased functionality and user friendly applications. Whereas the underside of the material is completely smooth, the surface is covered with drop-on material and heat indicators.

The drop-on material adds extra glass beads and a friction material to the PREMARK® markings, whereby the initial value of retro-reflection and friction can be increased. However, full advantage of the drop-on material requires applying with a special gas burner – e.g. JETPACK®. Furthermore, the drop-on material prevents two layers of PREMARK® sticking together, thereby reducing the need for separating sheets.

The heat indicators are a patented system that increases the user friendly applications when applying. The heat indicators are deep, oblong marks made symmetrically in the surface. On application, the heat from the gas burner will make the material viscous thereby “sealing” in the heat indicators. When all of the heat indicators have disappeared, the markings have had sufficient heat.
