Correct applicationApplied PREMARK® markings are tested by prying up a piece of the marking with a knife or chisel.
This should be done when the marking has almost cooled down. If pieces of the asphalt are sticking to the underside of the marking, or pieces of the markings are sticking to the asphalt, the application has been correctly carried out. (see picture)
If this does not happen, and the marking and the asphalt are easily separated, the markings have not had sufficient heat and should be heated up again with the gas burner. The test should be carried out both in the middle of the marking and at the edges.
If primer has been used before application (on concrete, stone or old asphalt), the application has been correctly carried out when the PREMARK® marking cannot be easily separated from the underlay.
