About PREMARK® preformed thermoplastic road marking 3D Road markingPREMARK® 3D road markings are pure optical illusion! The eye is fooled into seeing 3 dimensional, physical objects even though, in reality, they are traditional flat road markings. The 3D effect is often directional, giving the opportunity of targeting the markings at a specific portion of the traffic. 3D road markings are typically used in localities where the message from traditional road markings and notices are not sufficient.
3D markings can also replace physical installations such as, speed bumps, refuges and hazards, on the road. 3D road markings are easy and cheap solutions for restricting speed by way of “false” hazards or by making the road appear narrower.
The 3D effect breaks with the normal one-dimensional signal given by the traditional road markings, making 3D road markings more visible for road users.
